Jenny Andersson holds a PhD in Economic History from Uppsala University (2003). Before joining CERI in October 2009, she was post-doctoral fellow and visiting scholar at the European University Institute, Florence, and at the Center for European Studies, Harvard University. She was also awarded the first prize of the Swedish National Scientific Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and worked as associated professor with the Institute for the Studies of the Future in Stockholm. Her PhD dissertation about the transformations of the Swedish social-democracy after World War Two was published in 2006 by Manchester University Press, Between Growth and Security: Swedish Social Democracy from a Strong Society to a Third Way. Her other book, The Library and the Workshop: Social Democracy and Capitalism in an Age of Knowledge, was published in 2009 by Stanford University Press. Jenny Andersson is also member of the editorial board of the Swedish New History project of the Norstedts publishing house.
