Holds degrees from the University of Paris X-Nanterre, the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP) and a Ph.D. in political sociology from the University of Paris X-Nanterre. Member of the editorial boards of Politique et sociétés, Maghreb-Machrek and Questions internationales.
In addition to his main research area focusing on politics, contemporary society and transformations of the state in Israel, he also works on the transformations of contemporary nationalism.
